Generally speaking, lower tire pressures provide better control on wet or loose terrain, as well as a smoother ride. Higher tire pressures provide better puncture protection. Check your tires frequently to ensure your tire pressure is in the appropriate range.

The right tire pressure for your ride is personal and depends on your riding style, the terrain you'll be riding and the conditions of that terrain on the day you're riding. What you see below is a recommendation of a starting point pressure, a "ballpark" if you will, based on rider + gear weight and tire width. You'll also see a decal on your wheels indicating maximum inflation pressure. Never exceed the maximum inflation pressure of your tires or rims. Enjoy your ride!

The Aethos complete bike is equipped with 26mm tires. The frame will accommodate a tire width up to 32mm on 21mm rims with a clearance of 4mm.

Tubeless conversion

Many riders choose to convert to tubeless tires to prevent pinch flats. Tubeless tires allow riders to use lower inflation pressure without the risk of damaging a tube from impacts.  Please ensure that both your rims and tires are tubeless compatible before proceeding.

As originally equipped, the 2021-2022 Aethos Expert and the 2022 Comp are tubeless compatible. The 2021-2022 Aethos Pro and S-Works are not tubeless compatible. All Aethos models are tubeless compatible for 2023.
