Handlebars have grown wider in recent years, and this has presented some interesting challenges. Because bars are wider, leverage stress exerted at the stem has risen dramatically. The Traverse SL features a 35mm diameter at the stem clamp; this increases strength in this crucial zone while also dissipating the bar clamp load across a larger surface area. We also tailored the carbon fiber layup for maximum strength at the clamp and damping at the bar ends, resulting in a more comfortable, less fatiguing ride. The Traverse SL 35 is strong, durable, comfortable, and light enough to make XC racers smile.
