Frame

The CruX features the same Rider-First Engineered™ technology that was first introduced on our Tarmacs. With this approach, we use size-specific tubes and layups so that all frame sizes have the same feel of stiffness and compliance. By optimizing the materials for each frame size, we are also about to significantly drop the frame weight—the CruX now weighs 900 grams for a 56cm (*dependent on frame size and color), which is more than 400 grams lighter than the previous frameset. 

The CruX seat collar is two centimeters lower for more exposed seatpost. The top tube was designed for easy shouldering, as it features a large opening to the front triangle and a flat bottom. For stability in the corners and on off-camber sections, the geometry has a low bottom bracket and a sharp front-end. This combination also helps to initiate corners, regardless of the terrain.

Tire Clearance

The CruX is equipped with 700x33mm tires to provide 10mm clearance. 35mm is the maximum recommended tire width.
