The Demo features an M5 alloy frame with a Horst pivot flip chip to enable the use of a 27.5 or 29 rear wheel.

Sizing is done using the "S" system, with S2-S4 offered.

Height (in)Height (cm)Bike size
5'2" – 5'9"158 – 175S2
5'5" – 6'0"165 – 183S3

Cable Routing

The frame has internal cable routing for shift and brake, as well as the option for routing the rear brake cable externally.

The frame uses foam Churros to cover the cables as they run through the frame (S149900018).  There is a molded plastic “bulkhead” that helps guide the cables through the front triangle and into the chainstays. The service kit, S194200022, includes the plastic parts and hardware to attach it to the frame via the downtube protector.

All frames also use a molded cable guide, S176500001, for the rear brake that plugs into the non-drive side main pivot bolt.

Geometry

The Demo frame uses a flip chip wheelbase adjustment system to make the rear triangle compatible with either a 29" or 27.5" rear wheel.

Protectors

Chainstay

All frames use a molded chainstay protector. It has a snap fit and a single bolt that affixes the protector by the horst pivot. Both the molded protector and the bolt are included in the service part, S196900001.

Down tube

All frames use a molded downtube protector. It attaches to the frame via a single bolt on the downtube and two bolts that thread into the molded bulkhead part used for cable management (see cable routing section for more info). The molded part and all three bolts are included in the service part, S199900004.

Fender

All frames use a co-molded fender to protect the shock and lower link from debris and mud that attaches to the two mid-links via two small bolts. The service part, S192200006, includes the molded part and the mounting hardware.

Suspension

Suspension travel for all models and sizes is 200mm front and 200mm rear.

Rear Shock Specifications

225x75mm

Please note: Suspension on a bicycle is a complete system. Specialized frames are designed in conjunction with the shocks and supporting parts that come factory installed. While many aftermarket shocks (air or coil) may physically fit on the bike, they may not be compatible with the frame. Always check with the shock manufacturer to confirm compatibility with your specific frame before purchasing and installing a different shock than what was originally supplied with the bike or frame.
