Shock & Fork

The fork has 110 mm of maximum travel, 44 mm rake, and a tapered 1.5-1.125" steerer.

The rear shock has 75 mm of travel, with 0-10 mm of sag and 40 mm of stroke. 

Chainrings

The Epic World Cup is designed for a 1X drivetrain.  There are no provisions for a front derailleur; clamping to the seat tube is not permissible. 

  • Minimum chainring size is 28T
  • Maximum chainring size is 38T
  • Chainline is 55 mm

Derailleur hanger

SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH), S202600002

2023 S-Works and Pro complete bikes are built with the direct-mount SRAM Transmission drivetrain. Frames are compatible with either SRAM Transmission or standard drivetrains.

SRAM UDH Installation Manual

Grease should not be used on any part of the UDH.

Use caution when installing the UDH, as the bolt is left hand threaded.  Avoid tightening the UDH bolt with a wheel is installed as this will increase the torque on the axle as well as the UDH bolt.

Mechanical rear derailleurs are compatible. See instructions in the user manual for cable routing.

Brakes

All front forks have a minimum rotor size of 160mm.  Maximum front rotor size varies by fork.

The rear brake rotor minimum is 160 mm. The maximum rear rotor size is 180mm.

Seat post and seat collar

All models use a 30.9mm seat post and a 34.9mm seat collar, S184700003.  

When adjusting the saddle height or installing an aftermarket dropper post, it is important to ensure the insertion depth is within the acceptable range:

Dropper post

If you choose to use a dropper seat post, the cable can be internally routed. Route the housing through the head tube on the non-drive side, down the down tube, over the bottom bracket, and up into the seat tube. See the blue cable in the diagram below. Additional instructions are in your user manual.

Tire clearance

The Epic WC has clearance for 29x2.4" rear tires.  Front tire clearance varies by fork model; 6mm of clearance is recommended.
