Compatible Parts
Drivetrain
All Epic models are designed for 1X drivetrain. 2X drivetrains are not compatible. There are no provisions for a front derailleur, clamping to the downtube is not permissible.
All Epic models use an English threaded 73mm bottom bracket.
Axle standards are Boost spacing, 110/148mm.
Fork travel
The maximum fork travel allowed is 120mm.
Dropper Seatpost
Epic models use a 30.9mm seatpost. Aftermarket dropper seatposts may be fitted. A cable port on the drive side of the headtube provides internal routing for the dropper post cable.
EVO Models
EVO models have been offered since 2019. There are no mechanical differences in the frame or rear suspension. Adding a 120mm, 42-44mm offset fork and dropper seatpost to any Epic model can provide the capability of an EVO model. The maximum fork travel allowed is 120mm.
Tire Clearance
Designed with XC in mind, the 2019 - 2020 Epic has clearance for 29x2.3" tires front and rear. 2018 models have clearance for 29x2.3" front tires and 29x2.1" rear tires.
