These rear rack-mounted adapters provide simple and secure mounting points for panniers like the Coolcave. The low mounting position leaves the top rack platform open for other accessories like the Turbo Basket, MIK adapter, or Passenger Seat.

Tips for Mounting Coolcave Panniers (and other aftermarket panniers)

The Specialized Coolcave pannier is the most common pannier to attach to the Globe Haul ST and LT. Because it is one of the largest panniers available, it requires some special considerations for setup. Like most panniers, the Coolcave has an adjustable mounting system that allows the pannier body to move fore/aft along the rack. This means that panniers can be set too far forward or backward. Here are some mounting considerations that may also affect other panniers. It is worth noting that these considerations may mean your panniers are set up asymmetrically and they will be right/left specific.

Example: the first pannier shown below has the mounting system on the far left. The middle pannier has the mounting system on the far right. The last pannier has a centered mounting system.

Rear Panniers:

Rear panniers should be mounted far enough back for adequate heel clearance. The first pannier above was set too far backward for the front, but is ideal for mounting on the rear.

On the Haul LT, you may also need to consider the location of the kickstand when mounting the rear panniers. The image below shows two Coolcaves spaced to allow room to access the kickstand.
