System Status

System Status tells you at a glance if your Turbo system is healthy or if user action is required. Any live system events are shown and a solution is supported through simple steps you can carry out yourself. If there is a deeper error, you will be referred to your local Specialized retailer. For specific bikes, you can even run remote diagnostics with your retailer by using the Advanced Diagnostic feature. 

Odometer

The data is saved in the motor and sent to the App through either the battery or display.

Serial Number

This is the bike’s serial number that’s also stated on the frame itself.

Wheel Circumference

Your Turbo comes with a pre-set default wheel circumference, based on the original tire specification. It is saved in the motor and is needed to calculate speed and distance parameters. Mission Control displays the set wheel circumference. Should you customize your wheel or tire dimensions, please contact your Turbo retailer so that the new wheel circumference can be set in-store. A non-matching wheel circumference leads to false speed and distance readings in Mission Control and any connected ANT+ devices, such as the TCD. Motor assist speed is also affected.

Battery

After tapping the red arrow besides Battery, you will be able to view more information on your bike battery.

Battery Charging Status: Shows the current state of charge for the bike battery. If you don’t use a display option to see the exact charge status, you can see it here as a percentage figure.

Battery Health: Shows the percentage of remaining battery capacity.

Note: Specialized guarantees that the battery holds at least 75% capacity after 300 charge cycles or two years, whichever comes first. It is not uncommon for battery health to drop a few percent within 20 cycles and then to hold that level for a year or more. See your Turbo manual for more battery details.

Charge Cycles: The Battery Management System counts the amount of full charge cycles. One charge cycle is added when, for example, 500 Wh have been recharged into a 500 Wh battery. Battery aging over an estimated lifetime is taken into account for counting the cycles.

Motor

After tapping the red arrow besides Motor, you will be able to view more information on your bike motor.

Serial number: Displays the motor’s serial number to reference type and manufacturing details.

Hardware: Identifies the motor in detail.

Firmware: The installed motor firmware is displayed here. Please be sure that you always run the latest firmware for the best performance and the full scope of functions.

Temperature: Overheating issues with motors are extremely rare. In the event of overheating, the system activates a protection mechanism by reducing power, or in extreme cases by shutting off the system. Temperatures up to 90 degrees Celsius are considered normal.

Display

Advanced Diagnostics

Advanced Diagnostics allows you to send a full report of your bike, which includes settings and fault logs, to the Specialized Authorized Retailer network. You need a working internet connection; the upload will take approximately 30 seconds. During this time you must keep the bike turned on and your phone near the bike. If you have a problem with your bike, contact your Specialized Turbo Retailer after the upload is complete and share your bike serial number (WSBCxxxxxxxxxx). They will then be able to look up all related information in a dedicated program to suggest the next service steps.

Turbo Connect Display (TCD) Update

Turbo Connect Display (TCD) update gives you ability to update your TCD firmware through Mission Control. Thanks to your feedback we were notified that total ridden km were being restarted to 0 after reaching 9999km. This was due to the previous firmware restricting this field to only displaying 4 digits. Now, with the latest firmware update available for TCD, your TCD will support 5 digits. 

Device Updates (Available for Levo & Kenevo Gen 2 bikes)

Currently the device updates through Mission Control are only available to:

• Levo Gen 2 Bikes (Model Year 2019-2021)*
• Kenevo Gen 2 Bikes (Model Year 2020-2021)*

*with TCU1 and Brose 2.1 motor (firmware 7.4.1).

Giving riders the ability to update their motor and Turbo Connect Unit firmware is in response to feedback we have received from riders. The updates come with further improvements for torque peak spikes and walk assist improvements. The update process can take up to 10 minutes. You will need to stay in connection range with the bike during the updating process. Also stay attentive to its progress to ensure the update completes successfully and no error messages appear. 

Note: If you did not save your tune settings as a preset before the update, your bike will revert to the default settings.
