Map

In order to track your location on the map, you need to allow Mission Control to access your device’s location. The app will ask for permission during set-up, and you can also change permissions for Mission Control within your device settings. For accurate route tracing and to maintain a continuous connection with your bike, we advise to set your location permissions to "Always Allow".

To zoom in and out of maps, use the pinch-to-zoom gesture by moving two fingers on screen closer together (zoom out) or farther apart (zoom in).

Ride stats

Stats shows you real-time data (speed, distance, battery level, etc.) from your ride. To customize a data field, press and hold on the field you want to change and then choose the content from the drop-down menu.

New feature for MasterMind TCU* e-mtbs: Jump Stats

Beginning July 19, 2022, you can record jump data on the Mission Control app and see it displayed after each jump on the bike's MasterMind TCU display. The MasterMind TCU features an accelerometer to estimate jump data. These metrics need to be reset to zero manually before the next ride (long press on the remote minus button).

On the MasterMind TCU

  • Jump count
  • Jump distance
  • Duration of last jump

Note that these metrics need to be reset to zero manually before the next ride (long press on the remote minus button)

On the Mission Control app

  • Number of jumps
  • Last jump distance (horizontal air distance in meters)
  • Last jump duration (airtime in seconds)

To see the above jump data in Mission Control, you need to set up Mission Control as follows:

  1. Update TCU display firmware (via Mission Control or at retailer)
  2. Get latest Mission Control (app stores)
  3. Connect to bike
  4. Create custom Jump Stats screens in Mission Control (TUNE – CUSTOMIZE DISPLAY)
  5. Record ride through Mission Control to get statistics in Mission Control

*Note that Jump Stats is only available for 2022 or newer Levo, Kenevo SL, and Kenevo models with MasterMind TCU. You must have the latest version of Mission Control and the latest MasterMind TCU firmware, which you can verify under Diagnose in Mission Control.

Ride history

To see all the rides you've recorded on Mission Control, navigate to My Rides. This is where you’ll see a list of all your previous rides, with the most recent ride at the top. Each ride is labeled with the serial number of bike you rode. Each ride also summarizes the time duration of the ride, distance, and total power consumption.

In the top right corner, there are options to share to STRAVA®, Komoot, or via .fit file. If the ride has been uploaded to STRAVA® or Komoot, the icon will be highlighted. To upload a ride to STRAVA® or Komoot, your account must be connected in Settings.

SMART Control

Activating Smart Control means you don’t have to worry about the mode setting or battery capacity during your ride. During your ride, Smart Control uses an algorithm based on multiple parameters, such as energy consumed, time/distance/elevation completed and remaining, in order to optimize the motor power so you don't run out of battery on your ride.

To activate Smart Control:

  1. Go to Ride → Smart Control → ON
  2. After turning on Smart Control, you will then be able to define your choice of settings.

Smart Control works especially well on the time-based setting, and we strive to constantly improve it. The system doesn’t know the route profile ahead, so it’s advised to not set remaining battery capacity lower than 10%. This will give you a safety margin on your ride.

There are several options for Smart Control to automatically control the motor power:

Heart Rate Control

With Heart Rate Control, you can set a target heart rate and the motor power will adjust so you maintain it throughout the ride. The bike will decrease motor support if your heart rate is below the target and increase support if your heart rate exceeds it.

Heart Rate Control works with some expected limitations. For example, if you continue to push harder than your target heart rate, the bike will naturally reach the limit of motor support it can provide. On the other hand, if you consistently ride below your target heart rate, there will always be motor support (minimum of 10%).

Alongside setting your target heart rate, you have the ability to set a "Minimum Support Level." Minimum Support Level means that you will have Turbo support throughout your ride regardless of whether you are below or above your target heart rate.

To connect a heart rate sensor:

  1. Go to Settings → Devices.
  2. To see sensors you can pair with, ensure the BLE device is active, in range, and has enough power to be paired. Heart rate belts/straps need to be worn to transmit a signal for pairing.

Elevation Support

This function takes into account elevation gain to control motor support. You can define your expected elevation gain before the ride and the motor will give you more assistance on climbs and less assistance on flat terrain. This way, Smart Control gives you more support where you need it most, resulting in more accurate range control.

Note: The precision of your mobile device elevation sensor is important. In case of GPS-based elevation detection, the elevation gain might not be 100% accurate. You can expect a more accurate elevation reading if your phone features barometric measurement to assist GPS.

Climb Response

Climb Response is a sub-setting of Smart Control based on Remaining Elevation and is used for consistent motor support when riding short, consecutive uphill sections. Climb Response allows you to set a threshold for moderate climbs without any change in motor support. For example, if you set Climb Response to 75ft, then your motor will not adjust its motor output until after you’ve gained more than 75ft of elevation. This threshold setting can be useful whenever you have lots of small changes in elevation on your way to a longer climbing section.
