Ride Recording & ANGi Issues

Certain Android device manufacturers have battery optimization settings that can cause undesired behavior during a ride recording.

Problematic Manufacturers include

  • Samsung
  • Huawei
  • Xiaomi/Redmi
  • OnePlus

You may experience the following behavior if battery optimization is enabled:

  • Poor GPS accuracy for a ride recording
  • The app closes unexpectedly during your ride, prematurely halting your ride recording
  • Emergency contacts are not notified if ANGi detects potentially dangerous forces to your helmet because the bluetooth connection to ANGi has been severed or is frequently disconnected

To alleviate these issues, disable all battery optimization settings on your device.

Follow the instructions for your device below. Locations of these settings may vary by device and/or OS. If you are still experiencing problems, please visit the Don't Kill My App site at https://dontkillmyapp.com for more troubleshooting assistance.
