You can pack your Shiv into a travel case by removing only five bolts, the pedals, and the wheels. You will need a 5mm allen key and a pedal wrench.

  1. Remove the two 5mm tower stud nuts at the top of the spacer stack (use an allen key to hold the tower stud broach from the bottom during removal).

  2. Remove the nose cone, then unplug your shifter Y-Wire going into the extensions. Replace the nose cone.

  3. Remove the aerobar unit, then lightly thread the tower stud nuts back onto the studs to keep all the spacers together.

  4. Pull back the rubber basebar "hoods" (the part that covers the joint of the bar/fork), to expose the 5mm allen bolt underneath. Loosen the bolt so the bars can fold down towards the fork. Lightly tighten the bolt to prevent the bars from swinging during travel.

  5. Loosen your seatpost wedge to remove your seatpost. Remember to disconnect your Di2 battery if applicable.

  6. The hydration reservoir can easily be removed with two bolts. Bolt 1 is by the seat collar and Bolt 2 is the top water bottle cage mount. Disconnect the hydration hose at the base of the bladder before removing the Hydration Fuelcell.
