The Bike Settings screen shows information on your bike and provides options to change device settings (Garmin Radar, Remote Beeper, and Battery).

Bike Name

The default bike name is the bike model. You can change your bike’s name to whatever you would like (50 character limit; emojis are allowed).

Garmin Radar

If your bike has a MasterMind Turbo Connect Display or Unit, it is compatible with the wireless aftermarket radar by Garmin. Watch this video for details:

Select models with MasterMind TCD are already equipped with a wired radar system, which is explained in this video:

With Garmin radar enabled, the MasterMind display emits visual and audible alerts as well as subtle haptic alerts in the handlebar remote to warn you of approaching and passing vehicles up to 140 meters (150 yards) away.

You can customize Garmin radar settings within the Specialized app:

  • Radar = Choose whether to show an indicator on your display if any vehicles approach from the rear (green dot in the images above)

  • Radar Alerts = Enable or disable the radar sound

  • Radar Vehicles Cleared Alert = Enable or disable radar sound once all the vehicles from the rear have passed and no further vehicles are approaching

  • Radar Alerts Speed Threshold = Set a speed threshold for the activation of the beeper. For example:

    1. If you set the threshold to 0 km/h, the beeper is always on

    2. If you set it to 1 km/h, it will not beep when you are stopped at a traffic light

    3. If you set it to 6 km/h, it will not beep when you are stopped at a traffic light or traveling slower than 6 km/hour (such as walking with your bike)

Remote

Choosing Remote Beeper On will trigger a beeping sound when a button on the remote control is pressed.

Battery

Discharge Range Extender First (Turbo SL only)

The default setting is for the Range Extender and internal battery to discharge simultaneously. To change this so the Range Extender battery is used before the internal bike battery, select Discharge Range Extender First. You need to restart your bike after toggling ON

We recommend using this setting only if you plan to remove the Range Extender during your ride. Excessive use may impact long-term battery health as the Range Extender battery cells experience more strain. Note, if you discharge the Range Extender first, you will notice a faster decrease in motor power because of a quicker drop in voltage.
