To remove the rear wheel:
- Shift to the lowest (easiest) gear
- Rotate the cassette joint clockwise (as shown below) to release the pressure on the shift cable
- Remove the cable anchor bolt from its slot (A)
- Loosen the axle nuts on either side of the rear axle, but do not remove the nuts from the bolts (B)
- Lower the wheel out of the dropouts and remove the chain or belt from the rear sprocket
To re-insert the rear wheel:
- Install the chain or belt onto the sprocket
- Guide the wheel into the dropouts
- Ensure the axle is securely seated at the dropouts and then tighten the axle nuts
- Rotate the cassette joint forward and place the cable anchor back into the slot
- Ensure the cable is correctly routed in the guide track before releasing the cassette joint
- Check that the gears engage correctly before riding
