Motor Power

You can measure the power of a motor in the maximum watts it can produce. A motor that produces more watts will make it easier for you to maintain a certain speed while riding. All Specialized motors offer optimal support over a broad range of pedaling cadences – even beyond 100 rpm. This helps provide a more natural feel.

All full power motors provide 250w of nominal output. "Nominal" means the power output that the motor can maintain over a defined period of time in a standardized test. Depending on the specific motor type, a full power turbo bike will provide the rider with 400 to 560 watts of peak power.

Torque

Torque, which is measured in newton meters (Nm), refers to the acceleration power and climbing performance the motor provides. A motor that provides more torque will make it easier for you to accelerate and climb steep inclines.

Full power motors provide 50 to 90 Nm of torque at the lower cadences of 50 to 60 rpm for steady, natural acceleration and smooth climbing. As you pedal faster, the motor gradually provides less torque rather than dropping off sharply. The goal is to mimic the feel of riding without motor assist.

Efficiency

To get maximum range, riders should pedal smoothly at cadences of 75 rpm and higher. This is also the most knee/leg-friendly way of pedaling.

Warranty

All motors are covered under warranty for 2 years from date of purchase. 2019-2020 Levo FSR & 2020 Kenevo are covered for 4 years from date of purchase.
