What are my options for buying a bike online and how do they differ?

Ship to Home: Get your new bike delivered to your house in a box from Specialized. All bikes are professionally pre-built and test-ridden with only minimal assembly required. 

Pick Up In-Store: Pick up your new bike or equipment at your local authorized Specialized retailer. All bikes are professionally built and ready to ride.

Specialized Delivery: Get your new bike hand-delivered to your door by a Specialized expert, professionally built and set up just for you. 

What if I start to assemble my bike and need help?

We pre-build and test ride all of our Ship-to-Home bikes to make the process as easy as possible. Your bike will ship with a step-by-step illustrated instruction guide. We also created a video to walk you through the steps. See https://www.specialized.com/us/en/how-to-assemble-your-bike to preview how the process works. If you get stuck, you can contact our Rider Care team for help.

Where can I get the tools I need to assemble my bike?

Ship-to-home bikes include everything you need to assemble it, including a torque wrench, 4, 5, and 6 mm hex bits, grease and carbon friction paste, and a shock pump if your bike has air suspension. You will also need a pump to inflate your tires, which you can find in our online store or at your local retailer. Specialized Delivery and Pick Up In-Store bikes do not include tools or a shock pump.

My bike was damaged in shipping. What do I do?

Contact our Rider Care team and we'll make it right. It will help us if you can take pictures of the damage and the box.

What size should I buy? How can I adjust my new bike to fit me better?

Just like with clothing, not all bikes fit the same. Check the size guide and geometry table before purchasing to help you choose the best size. Once you have your new bike, a professional bike fit through our Retül Fit program can help you customize your fit through the perfect saddle height, stem length, and other options. 

I’m not happy with my new bike. What’s your return policy?

We have a 100% total satisfaction guarantee within 30 days of purchase. New, unused items purchased from our webstore can be returned at any time for a full refund. Used items must be returned within 30 days of delivery for a store credit. See our return policy here. 

How long after I place an order will I receive my new bike?

Our mechanics are working extra hard to pre-build and test ride Ship-to-Home bikes. For an update on expected shipping timelines, please reach out to Rider Care. We know it's hard to wait! 

What if I decide I want to receive my bike at a different address?

To protect against fraud, we do not allow changes to your delivery address after you place your order. Please make sure your delivery address is correct at the time of purchase. 

What does tubeless ready mean?

Our tubeless ready bikes come with tubeless-compatible rims and tires. Tubeless rim tape is pre-installed. You will need to supply your own tubeless valves and sealant. You can find more information on tubeless setup here.
