I CAN'T CONNECT TO MY GLOBE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Attempt the following actions to resolve an unsuccessful bike connection:

  • Make sure that Bluetooth® is activated on your phone

  • In device settings, make sure that the Specialized Globe App is allowed to access Bluetooth®

  • Make sure your bike is not connected to another phone

  • Close and re-open app to restart the session

  • Turn your bike off and on again

  • Disable BLE, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on

  • Restart your phone

Note: On Android, you'll need to enable location services in order to scan and connect to Bluetooth® Low Energy devices.

If you still cannot connect to your Globe, please contact your local authorized Specialized retailer for further diagnostics.

DO I NEED TO RIDE WITH MY PHONE AND KEEP THE APP OPEN?

Your bike is completely functional without the Globe App. However, keeping the app connected while riding can enhance your riding experience. This will also ensure your rides are recorded in the Ride Log.

CAN I INCREASE THE SPEED OF MY BIKE THROUGH THE GLOBE APP?

We do not support this functionality. Specialized provides bikes with legal speed limits that cannot be adjusted.

DOES POWER SAVING FUNCTIONALITY AFFECT THE APP?

There are possible impacts on app and ride recording performance due to power saving. We recommend adding the Globe app to the power saving exclusion list on your device.

WHAT DATA DOES SPECIALIZED COLLECT AND WHY?

Specialized collects technical data from your bike while connected to the app. This allows us to understand bike usage, log bike status data, and analyze error information. The data also enables us to create better products in the future and to better support you in the event that you experience any issues with your bike.
